Dr. Anthea Pitschel, your expert for criminal law and tax law

Dr Anthea Pitschel advises in all areas of criminal law – in general criminal law, commercial criminal law (including criminal tax law), juvenile criminal law, criminal law relating to narcotics, traffic criminal law, medical criminal law, etc. – as well as in administrative offence law.

Dr Pitschel will defend you effectively, meticulously and in a solution-oriented manner at every stage of the proceedings. In criminal defence, she takes your interests into account – regardless of guilt or innocence – and always advocates for a fair trial, in particular trying to contain or completely avoid possible negative consequences of the proceedings in your interest.

Dr Pitschel studied law at the Georg August University in Göttingen. She was a scholarship holder of the Deutschlandstipendium in 2012/13 and 2013/14. After completing her studies, she worked as a research assistant and obtained her doctorate with top marks (“summa cum laude”) at the Georg August University in Göttingen. Her dissertation was honoured with the dissertation prize of the law firm Appelhagen Braunschweig.

She completed her legal clerkship and second state examination in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Braunschweig with an elective in criminal law. Immediately after her studies and her doctorate, Dr Pitschel consistently specialised in criminal law.

Since 2021, she has been working as a lecturer at the Georg-August University of Göttingen in addition to her work as a lawyer and criminal defence lawyer.
