Clara-Sofia Ilg – Criminal and Tax Law with Precision and Commitment

Clara-Sofia Ilg is an attorney specializing in criminal law and tax law. Her legal education and professional career are characterized by a consistent specialization in criminal law—complemented by sound knowledge of tax law.

During her legal studies at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg, she consciously chose to specialize in Criminology. Additional modules in criminal defense and forensic medicine, as well as an Erasmus stay at the University of Oslo focusing on international criminal and human rights law, further deepened her profile.

Alongside her studies, Clara-Sofia Ilg volunteered for over three years in the Detention Group of the Institute of Criminology at the University of Heidelberg. In this role, she advised remand prisoners at the Mannheim Correctional Facility, developed a sense for the specific requirements of criminal defense, and learned to process complex facts in a structured and understandable manner.

During her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Stuttgart, she continued her focus on criminal law: she completed both her legal stages and her elective stage at renowned criminal law firms. Furthermore, she worked at the Stuttgart Public Prosecutor’s Office, Department for Capital Crimes, where she drafted indictments and search warrants and handled voluntary prosecutorial session services.

Her growing interest in tax law, particularly at the intersection with criminal law, complements her profile with analytical depth and strategic thinking. This includes proceedings for tax evasion, voluntary disclosures, or white-collar crime scenarios.

Since June 2025, Clara-Sofia Ilg has been strengthening the team at MPP Rechtsanwälte Göttingen. In addition to her legal expertise, she brings a high degree of commitment, structured thinking, and a keen sense for the interests of her clients.
