Karl-Heinz Mügge – Criminal defence with a focus on white-collar and tax criminal law

For almost three decades, Karl-Heinz Mügge has advised and defended clients in all areas of criminal law and tax law – with a particular focus on white-collar crime and tax criminal law.

As a Specialist Lawyer for Criminal Law (since 2001) and Specialist Lawyer for Tax Law (since 2010), he has in-depth expertise, strategic experience, and a profound understanding of complex tax and criminal-law matters.

He has provided defence in several thousand criminal and tax proceedings nationwide – from preliminary investigations and main hearings through to appeal proceedings – and has also supported numerous clients in tax audits, voluntary disclosures for tax purposes, administrative offence proceedings, or asset offences with an international dimension. Matters involving digital financial flows, for example in connection with cryptocurrencies, are also part of his advisory practice.

Mr Mügge negotiates on your behalf with tax offices, tax investigation authorities, and public prosecutors’ offices, and has been familiar from practice for many years with the particularities and customary practices, especially in the Higher Regional Court districts of Braunschweig and Celle as well as in the Göttingen Regional Court district.
